Chapter 98 - Outside The Arena! End Of The Match!
"Save my jade locket girly!" Master Yi Feng wanted to cry out at her but his persona of a sophisticated person that he had cultivated for so long did not allow him to break it.
He simply raised his hands up to his face and stroked his beard, looking deep in thought.
....
"Come here little girl, heh," Zheng Pao sneered at her as he gestured her to attack him. But despite looking lax and relaxed about this whole thing, he had sharpened hi spiritual sense to a higher level. It allowed him to sense and see what was happening around him.
Pah Jama knew that the guy had more skills and tricks up his sleeve. To be one of the best fighter in a place such as this, she knew he had insane amount of original techniques.
The fight before was just a simple showcase of his ability. She would have to concentrate more on the surrounding in this fight even while keeping her eyes on him.
It seemed as if the whole world had gone silent around them. The only thing they could hear was the faint sound of their own breathing.
Rule number 1 to any fight!
If your opponent underestimates you, then let them do that. Even better, don\'t show your any emotions to them.
The only way that she knew to utilize qi was using it as shield and covering her body with a thin and invisible layer of qi that could not be sensed anyone who was in lower rank than her or as the same rank as her.
Lucky for her, Zheng Pao\'s cultivation was also only up to where she was currently.
Using her qi and manipulating them offensively was something she had used last night when dealing with the group of thug that were harassing Nagina. It was a remote skill that she had thought up on the spot when she had ran out of all the options, completely!
But that also meant, it was time to use the long range attack she had to her advantage and fight the man quickly. Although she did want the fight to elongate for as long as it could, she could not deny the fact that she still had to return back to her sect as soon as possible.
She clutched her sword tightly in her hand, her feet and body looking as if she was about to lunge forward with her toy sword.
\'Humph, a close combat?\' Zheng Pao had expected her to lunge at him with the puny little sword of him. it was just his expectations but looking at the fact that she was doing it early in the match meant that he was fighting with a total no body.
"I will end this soon," he snickered as he readied himself for the impact of the sword to hit him and break it into pieces.
Pah Jama saw the smug look on his face . Her eyebrows immediately furrowed in to a frown as she ran towards him, her hand gripping on the word even tighter.
"It was fun when it lasted." Zheng Pao shook his head at the thought of ending a fight this soon when he saw her charge in to his territory without a hint of fear.
He hardened is muscles in to a tight and impenetrable flesh. A few veins popped up on his biceps when he increased the pressure within body, making his muscles as strong as possible.
"COME!" He shouted at her with blood red eyes.
Although Le fang Ling was kind of taken aback by surprise upon seeing his face and body, she had already decided to do what she had thought. There was no any other room for negotiation.
"Armature will always be an amateur," he clicked his tongue in displeasure seeing her trying to fight him head on. His face already was showing smile of victory even without the match starting.
\'Air Manipulation!\' She mumbled softly in her breathe as she rushed towards Zheng Pao, the sword naked and deadly alive in her hand.
But she stopped abruptly when she was a few centimeters away from Zheng Pao and so did her sword.
Without wasting any of her breathe, she slashed the sword across his chest as swiftly as possible. With the increased agility points and strength points, her hands moved faster than it would have normally.
Zheng Pao had a hard time keeping the track of the path of the sword.
But he fretted not as he knew that his body right now was stringer and harder then the material the sword was made up of.
And well, he was not wrong!
Crack!
When the blade of the sword came in contact with his chest, like he had expected, the blade shattered into pieces and scattered all over the ground.
But there was not even a graze on his skin made from the sword.
With a clank, the sword fell down from her hand on the ground. The entire crowd gasped when they saw a sword meeting such a disgraceful end when it went against the hard and solid Zheng Pao.
\'I knew this much was good as over from the start!\' The crowd whispered in loud voice, making sure it was loud enough for Pah Jama to hear them making fun of her.
Zheng Pao looked down at Pah Jama and smiled as he twisted his face in to an ugly and disgusted smile. He was disgusted at her weakness and stupidity even after being a part of a sect that provided them with proper education.
"Hah, you are a los-" he shouted at her but he stopped speaking midway when he felt a sharp pain infiltrating his body; chest to be precise.
He hurriedly looked down at is chest but felt no any sign of cut or injury but the pain did not stop. Instead, it increased exponentially as he felt himself sweating from all the pores on his body due to the pain he was feeling.
No, it was not just his body but his entire internal organs felt as if they had been cut off and mutilated without his knowledge.
"Ugghh!" He gritted his teeth shut in pain but the pain did not subside.
"Cough, cough," he coughed out violently when he felt something trying to come out of his mouth.
Blewhh
He vomited out a thick and red blood that seemed to have a few lumps of flesh in them.
*Gasp*
Once again, the whole crowd was shocked seeing the victor of the match wriggling and girthing in pain while the loser stood proud and tall, while looking down at victor.
This was simply too absurd!
"Ahh, the reaction was pretty slow," Pah Jama saw him struggling with his breathing while gasping for air.
Zheng Pao could hold in his anger anymore and yelled at her with a few curse words like calling her a bitch, a cheat and whatever bad words he could find.
Le Fang Ling: "..."
"Well, not bad for the second try though," she shrugged her shoulder as he placed a hand on his chest and gave him a slight push with her index finger.
With a loud and painful thud, he landed on the ground outside the fighting arena.
By this moment, Zheng pao had realized what had happened. He raised his eyes and looked at Pah Jama in dissatisfaction and anger.
The sword was just a decoy to attract his attention. Her acting like a fool and stupid by attacking head on was just her putting sand in his eyes to cover up her true intentions.
What she did was Qi manipulation and hurt his internal meridians with them.
Everything came rushing back to him as his mind became clear. There was no rule saying that they had to fight with sword of they came with a sword.
He just was the fool to assume that she was going to fight him with her puny sword. He forgot for a second that she was a martial artist and a cultivator at that.
"You," he paused speaking and looked at her from below.
"Ahh, never mind." He waved off the thoughts as he felt his eyelid widen. His fall form the arena was not something that big but Le Fang Ling believed that he had a slight concussion on his brain.
Also, he had lost the fight the moment he came out of the arena. He did not even have any kind of excuses to make for such a big blunder he made.
Pah Jama could somehow understand the thoughts he was having.
"Exactly what you are thinking," Pah Jama said as she curled up her lips in to a smirk.
"I," she sighed in a heavy tone.
"I am good at qi manipulation and not at sword fighting. I just combined both of them together to catch you off guard and secure my victory." She said as she crouched down on the stage. She just extended the sharpness and reach of the sword by heavily coating and surrounding it with the invisible qi she was so good at.
"You just did not see my air blades which are at an atomic level," she scoffed as he flipped her hair backwards.
"I…I have no words to say," Zheng Pao knew he underestimated the girl just because she looked frail and thin.
"Heehehe!" A light giggled left his mouth when he realized that he had lost horribly to a girl from a Nobel family.
"I lost!" He announced from the floor as he looked at the owner who was standing on the sidelines looking at the scene with a windblown and horrified expression.
"Cough," the owner did not have anything more to say even though he was still in shock at the outcome.
"P-Pah Ja-ama," he announce in a voice loud enough to reach every corner of the hall.
"Pah Jama secures a win against Zheng Pao!" he announced with a stuttering tone.
"Match is over!"
